Geoffrey Lord - Chairman and Chief Executive

Geoff commenced his business career in 1965 with Ford Motor Company, holding several positions including National Sales Planning Manager, and rising to Marketing Director of Ford South East Asia, before joining Henry Jones (IXL) Limited in 1973. He was elected to the Board in 1978 and remained a director of several companies associated with the Elders Group until 1992, including Elders IXL and Fosters Brewing Group.

 

In 1985 Geoff started a new public company known as Elders Resources Limited. He was appointed Chief Executive and Deputy Chairman. From 1985 to 1990 Elders Resources grew to a peak market capitalisation in excess of $2bn, with some 15,000 staff and a $7bn turnover. The company became one of the top 20 companies in Australia and one of the top 3 in New Zealand. During this period Mr Lord acted as Chairman of a number of associated companies including Simsmetal and Oakbridge. He has also acted as a Director of North Broken Hill and New Zealand Forest Products. In

 

1990 Elders IXL sold their stake (40%) in Elders Resources and Mr Lord retired from the group to commence business for himself.

 

 

Ronald Charles Peck - Commercial Director

Ron started his career as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers and Lybrand and moved on to become Managing Director of Kent Moving and Storage, a national removals and storage firm. Before joining Belgravia Group in 1999, Ron moved on to become proprietor and Managing Director of J Wilson Pty Ltd, and Chess Moving Australia which he developed into the national business it is today.
